It’s several weeks into the new year, and things are growing busier and busier around the HDT office. Workshop sessions and vendor spaces are filling up so it appears we’re well on our way to another spectacular Back to Basics.
Back to Basics has become the premier sustainable-living event in north-central Minnesota! Each year returning and new participants eagerly await the wide variety of workshop topics. Presenters come from MN and WI to share their knowledge, skills, and experience.
What’s the draw, you might ask?
HDT Executive Director, Quinn Swanson answered, “We think folks are joining us for a lot of different reasons, including the opportunity to network, grow and learn, shop, and be inspired! We’re delighted to offer this dynamite day filled with sustainable living!.”
“We have a blast every year, so that has to be a part of it, too,” claimed HDT Program Director Michelle Hoefs. “We put together an event that we would want to go to. I think that translates to an event that resonates within our region.”
Let’s take a look at the particulars of this B2B:
- Saturday, February 15th at the Pine River-Backus School, 8am-5pm
- 45 different workshops (You can register here)
- 50 vendors from across the midwest (Current vendor list can be seen here)
- 1 outstanding keynote speaker (Regi’s message will inspire and entertain.)
- Countless supporters, promoters & volunteers to make the day a success (Is that you?!)
Are you interested in being part of the festivities? We are always looking for volunteers to contribute their time and energy on the day of the event- register as a volunteer. If you’re looking to do something in advance, please helps us spread the word. Check out these cards for you to put on your own social networks. Pick your favorite and share among your friends. (I like the third one best, TBH.)
Be sure to check back often. We are planning posts with several workshop presenters, along with an extended interview with keynote speaker Haslett-Marroquin. Stay Tuned!
